Settling into rural West Virginia Natasha Stanislaski began a very successful business after leaving behind her family and memories of mistakes and heartbreak. Her affinity with children made her toy store a success; her fiery temperament and youthful indiscretions kept men safely at bay. That is until brash Spence Kimball and his adorable little girl joined forces to nudge their way into her shop...and her closely guarded heart.
Spence had his work cut out for him in attempting to gain a smile from the beautiful proprietor of the toy shop. Her smiles and ease with children told him she had a softer loving side but he couldn’t understand the antagonistic fury he saw in her eyes which held him in such contempt. Beyond that he couldn’t very well keep his daughter from enjoying the ambiance and magical background of the shop.
As always Ms Roberts weaves such special tales with heart and emotional pull that this was a hard book to put down.
Spence had made mistakes with his fame and all but ignored the precious gift of his daughter. Now he was doing his utmost to be the father his daughter both needed and deserved and couldn’t quite understand what he’d done to Natasha that had her hackles up whenever he came in contact with her. Turns out it wasn’t anything he did, but assumptions Natasha had made. And with that the story evolved with friendship, caring, and a very sweet and sensual romance that will leave you warm and toasty on a cold winters night!
