Shadow Warrior by Christinne Feehan

Updated: Mar 3

Fierce passion reigns when a serial killer threatens the Chicago Ferraro crime families son Vittorio who never thought to find the woman of his dreams...

Vittorio Ferraro, as all of the Ferraro siblings know and love that their family loyalty knows no bounds. Vittorio would die for his siblings and the people they love, but what he really wants is to have a family of his own. Deep down, Vittorio has always known finding a woman who could ride shadows would be nearly impossible—let alone one who could accept his needs— he never expected to find her in the middle of a kidnapping.…

Grace Murphy has always been aware and drawn to Vittorio Ferraro—or at least to the billionaire’s public bad-boy persona though she had kept out of his sight. Since Grace took a bullet intended for him, she is now under his protection and the sole focus of his intense caring, she can’t help wanting to get as close to him as possible. But Grace knows her presence is putting the entire Ferraro family in danger. Her monster of a step-brother will never let her go, but Vittorio has no intention of losing the woman whose shadow matches his own.

Kudos to the marvelous performance by Jim Frangione in narrating this book!

Wow, I have been a fan of the Shadow Riders since the beginning and even though they are a crime family (kind of, but not really – you have to read the beginning) you have to love them. All the men are dominant super controlling males. Vittorio truly needs a special woman who is able to accept his all consuming controlling ways. Must be nice for some but I am glad that Grace stood up for herself in demanding she wanted to continue her business! Yea for Grace!

However, this was the very first time in all the books prior to this one where I was a bit afraid that the bad guy was going to get away! Very slick intelligent villain who was able to do some serious damage! Lots of excitement and action and I loved every bit of it!
