Angel In A Devil’s Arms

Updated: Mar 3

They say “He has devil’s blood in his veins”.

Or, that’s always been the legend. How else could the Duke of Brexford’s notorious bastard son return from the dead? The brutal decade since Lucien Durand, Lord Bolt, allegedly drowned in the Thames forged him into a man who always gets what—and who—he wants. Lucian is not above letting his vengeance for his stolen birthright rob him of anything else, including one wild night in Angelique Breedlove’s bed.

Angelique recognized that only heartbreak would be the result of a liaison when she saw the enigmatic Lord Bolt walk into The Grand Palace on the Thames. No even his legendary devastating charm won’t tempt her to risk her own heart ever again.

Cautiously they recognize that beneath the physical attraction between them springs a trust that feels anything but safe. The passion—explosive and consuming—drives Lucien to his knees and the vengeance while uppermost in his mind gets pushed backwards. Now his whole life depends on proving his love to a woman who doesn’t believe in it . . . because his true birthright, he now knows, is to be the guardian of Angelique Breedlove’s heart.

Such an interesting read. Lucien had been betrayed by his supposed best friend – that hurt!

Obviously he wanted revenge, but he let the man live; why? It was more important to Lucian to use him to finally arrange to get to the father he new loved him. Lucian had to discover how that man could have broken his mothers heart and destroyed her. While revenge is sweet - what Lucian learned was that love was the most important emotion and fighting for that was more important than long ago betrayals. His campaign to fight for Angelique was simply wonderful with trust, honesty, and sensual delights!
