Piper Manning is one tough cookie – she’s had to be. At the age of 12 she was left alone (orphaned) and practically raised her two siblings on her own. Now, they’ve thankfully flown the coop. In her mind, all she needs to do is finish fixing up the lake house her grandparents left her, sell it, and then she’s free.

But then, a massive storm hits, and Piper literally runs into a tall, dark and handsome stranger, Camden Reid. Something happened, for she had never before felt any kind of interest, but Cam – he was something different and he elicited strange and exciting feelings that were pretty much foreign to her!

BUT that wasn’t the only surprise that night. Her sister and brother returned, each of them holding their own secrets.

For the two protagonists of this lovely story, both were wounded souls trying to cope with feelings and guilt over past mistakes. And surprisingly both issues had to do with siblings. And the attraction they each felt for another was one more commonality between them. As far as her siblings were concerned - Piper really wanted them all to go back to the lives she thought they wanted and one she had worked hard to send them in those directions. However, both siblings were dealing with their own issues. Piper had assumed each was on their own - but what they all needed was to open up and communicate….something Piper had not really done in the past. Yes, she loved them both - but had she opened up to let them know it?

Only when the secrets were revealed, it changed everything Piper thinks she knows about her family, herself…and Cam. Would she find a way to outrun the demons? The answer is closer than she thinks—just as the new life she craves may have already begun.

One very great story I am highly recommending!
